Fishing Creek Salem sponsors Cub Scout Pack #198 and Boy Scout Troop #198. Below is a brief description of the different age groups. Check out their websites for further information. Cub Pack #198 - www.pack198thebest.com
Boy Scout Troop #198 -

Tiger Cubs - First Grade - Tiger Cubs is a boy's first step into scouting. Tiger Cubs focuses on helping the child to develop small group and socialization skills through monthly meetings that include activities and arts and crafts. There are also special camping weekends, called Parent/Pal Getaways. Wolf Den - Second Grade - This group enjoys doing arts and crafts, participating in sports, and community service projects. Wolves begin working toward badges, patches, and other achievements.
Bear Den - Third Grade - Bears focus on earning rank badges and also enjoy Parent/Pal camping trips.
Webelos I - Fourth Grade - It's during this time that the boys start to focus on earning pins in the areas of citizenship and community, sports and fitness, arts and crafts, communication and woodworking. It takes two years to achieve all 21 of the pins. After the first year the boys advance to Webelos II.
Webelos II - Fifth Grade - Webelos II is a transition point for boys in the scouting program. They continue to earn pins started while in Webelos I, but they are also preparing for Boy Scouts by learning the Boy Scout pledges and laws. The is also the first year that the boys are invited to camp with the Boy Scouts.
Cub Scout Pack #198 - Pack #198 includes boys ages 7 to 11 or in 1st through 5th grade. This group participates in numerous activities, including: Scouting for Food, holiday parties, service and conservation projects, the Pinewood Derby, camping, fall and spring outings, and activities sponsored by the Council.
Boy Scout Troop #198 - Youth, ages 11 to 18 participate in Council activities, Scouting for Food, service and conservation projects, and camping once a month.
There are also several Girl Scout troops that use Salem's facilities. These troops include the following age groups:
Daisies - Kindergarten
Brownies - 1st through 3rd Grade - Brownies provide an opportunity for the young girls to participate in service projects, go on field trips and work toward "Try It" badges.
Juniors - 4th through 6th Grade - Juniors participate in service projects, go camping, on field trips and earn badges.
